(ii) Start Up Sources of Funding

             (i) Own or Family Savings:
Sources may include an inheritance, severance package or savings.

             (ii) Venture Capitalists (VC):
VCs are a great source of seed capital but will naturally look for a favourable rate
of return on their investment in your business. They are professional early adopter
investors and will seek out a very thorough business plan to protect their investment
and bolster their chance of success. The funding can come from a number of
sources in Ireland including: angel investors, venture capitalists and private equity
groups and companies. A primary source for such investors can be identiied
through the Irish Venture Capital Association at www.IVCA.ie. These investors &
owners may operate under Revenue approved schemes such as:

Startup relief for entrepreneurs (SURE) - IT15
                 www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/lealets/it15.html

                 The seed capital scheme (SCS)

Employment incentive and investment scheme (replacing the BES Scheme) allowing
                 tax relief on your investment.
