      iii) Labeling Approval

      All alcoholic beverages exported to the
      United States must irst go through
      labeling product formulation approval.

      As mentioned earlier, this is a step in
      which your importer should be able
      to assist you. It is important to allow
      3 months to achieve approval, which
      should be sought through

      It is important to know that products
      governed by an EU Geographic Indicator
      (GI) (Eg Poitin, Irish Whiskey and Irish
      Cream Liqueur)are exempt from the
      product formulation stage of this
      approval process, and therefore approval
      can be achieved sooner in many cases..
      However, labeling approval is a step
      required for all products.
