Health Service Executive (HSE) will provide details of your local Environmental Health Oicer
(EHO) whom you will need to meet in relation to your venture.
Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) will provide information on labeling requirements,
health claims, a list of allergens and EU regulations etc.
Note that the FSAI has a section of its website dedicated to starting a food or drinks business.
The Irish Patent Oice – You need to run a search for your brand name and advice on
registering it in Ireland and EU with both the Irish Patent Oice and the European Trademark
Oice. See the ‘Legal Issues’ section for more details.
