In order to become an Origin Green member, you will need to follow these steps:

• Inform yourself on the particulars of the programme at www.origingreen.ie. When you
are comfortable that you understand the commitment, please register your interest in the
charter on this page.

• You will be contacted by the Bord Bia Origin Green team to arrange an appointment to
attend a half-day workshop. At this workshop, you will be guided through the steps of
creating your own sustainability plan.

• You then create your own plan with your team and submit it to Bord Bia. The plan will be
provided to an external agency where it will be assessed.
• If your plan is approved, you will become a veriied member of the charter and you will be
able to use the Origin Green identity on your corporate communications. You can also use
the company’s veriied status to reinforce the unique selling proposition ofered by your
category.

• Your plan may need amendments but don’t be disheartened. In order to maintain the
integrity of the programme, it is necessary to maintain very high standards.

• Ultimately, when your company becomes a veriied Origin Green member, it will join
an esteemed group of companies who beneit from being collectively promoted in
international markets by the Origin Green ambassador team.
