Make doing the right thing a daily habit in your business. Your customers and indeed your consumers
will see this ultimately in today’s transparent world. It also puts all stakeholders concerned at ease with
the business.

7. Don’t be afraid to fail
When you dream big, you’re bound to have a stumble or two. Don’t let failure consume you. Learn
from it and move on. Resilience is key.

8. Know the Regulations and Macro Environment
Changes in regulations and the economic climate relect themselves quickly in a competitive category
throughout the business chain. These changes can also manifest themselves at the local, national and
international level. Take time to stay current.

9. Don’t care what others think
Stakeholders must be considered but sometimes your objectives and theirs can be conlicting. You
must not steer away from the principles and vision that sparked your venture in the irst place. Stick to
your vision.

10. Have fun
It is important to enjoy what you do and to achieve a good work life balance. If you fail to provide this
for yourself and your employees, productivity will sufer.
