(i) BUILD - Understanding your Brewery Outputs

The following is an example of a 10 hl brewery.

Each hectolitre of brewery output represents 100 litres of
beer. This example makes an assumption that the brewery is
operational 48 weeks per year.

Shifts per week = 15
Shifts over 48 weeks = 720
Shift capacity = 10 HL
Capacity per year (720 x 10HL) = 7,200 HL
Litres of beer (100 per hectolitre) = 720,000 ltr

This equates to c. 2,200,000 bottles of 330ml size
or approx. 14,400 kegs of 50L size.

If we assume the wholesale price of a keg to customers at
€150, this equates to a sales value of approximately
€2,160,000 before discounts and other selling expenses.
